Sexual health has different meaning for every individual. Similarly, their health shows different meaning and value attached to sexual activity and behaviors . It is a complex structure of intimacy, desire, feelings and beliefs associated to sexual health and attractive partner. Some individuals believe that this is just a physical element of life, some seeks pleasure psychologically and others find it social, a way of communication, expression of energy and satisfaction as a soul-connecting act. Everyone has their own subjective experience. This is an instinct present in all human beings and naturally occurring drive that is felt under motivation and a purpose i.e. love or reproduction.
One third of population is suffering from impairment in their sexual health and life due to any reason. They either don’t feel aroused or feel extreme pain, anxiety or distress while initiating sexual activity. It is also considered that women have lower sexual desire than men. Mindfulness  helps with all the difficulties adults face regarding their sexual behaviors. They can be biological, genetic, medical, mental or social and spiritual. Basically mindfulness meditation is a solution for all the awareness blocking causes that hinders the steps towards treatment of issues for an improved life.
The research work on sexual health is rising gradually. Sexual health was seen in the past as a medical problem, but now it is growing importance from all the dimensions of a human life and the researchers also study the reasons and impact each dimension placed on the complete personality and functioning of a human. The efficacy  of mindfulness-based interventions is also highlighting its potential as evidence based treatment method. Men and women both may suffer from health issues when it comes to sexual activities and performance. The main issue women face is arousal difficulties and reduced orgasm capacity while men face issues in gaining and sustaining erection for a long time accompanied by premature ejaculation.
